If you reside in the City of Jerusalem, the West bank, the settlements, or the Gaza Strip you should apply at the U.S. Consulate General in Jerusalem. If you reside in any other area of Israel, you should apply at the U.S. Embassy in Tel Aviv. If you are applying from outside Israel and traveling to either Tel Aviv or Jerusalem to apply for your visa, you should choose your previous residence to determine your consular district. You will be asked to choose your locality as you move through the Web site.
Applicants between the ages of 14 and 79 must obtain information and schedule an appointment through this service.
Applicants under the age of 14 or 80 years older are not required to appear at the Consular Section in person, unless specifically required by the consular officer upon review of the visa application. Their applications can be submitted in one of the following ways:
1. Please Note NEW PROCEDURE!! If you are an immediate family member (parent, adult son or daughter, etc.) of a child under the age of 14 or of an applicant over the age of 80, and you are scheduling an appointment to apply for your own visa, please add all family members to the appointment system. If you schedule the appointment through the online system, please use the “Add Family Member” option. At the time of your appointment, you should present your child’s or elderly relative’s completed application form(s) , valid passport(s), supporting documents and the visa application fee payment receipt.
2. If family members are not required to appear for a personal interview, the applications for children under 14 or applicants over the age of80 should be sent through a delivery service to the Embassy (see explanation below**).

**If an applicant under the age of 14 or 80 years or older resides in the Embassy’s district, please call 171, (the Israeli Postal Company) and pay for two-way pick-up and delivery service with a credit card. The post office will send a messenger to pick up the completed application form(s), valid passport(s), supporting documents and the visa application fee payment receipt. Applications for children should also contain copies of the parents’ visas or proof of the parents’ ties to Israel and a letter from the parents authorizing the child’s travel. You do not need to schedule an appointment for them. The post office will deliver these documents to the Embassy in Tel Aviv for processing. Consulate General Jerusalem
The applicant may submit the completed application form, passport(s), supporting documents and the visa application fee payment receipt through a travel agent. Applications for children should also contain copies of the parents’ visas or proof of the parents’ ties to a residence outside of the United States and letter from the parents authorizing the child’s travel. The travel agent will deliver these documents to the Consulate General in Jerusalem for processing. Please note that the travel agent may charge a nominal fee for their services. The consular officer reserves the right to ask any applicant to appear for a personal interview.
Please note that before an appointment can be scheduled through this system, you must complete the Non immigrant Electronic Visa Application DS-160 form at https://ceac.state.gov/genniv/. Print the DS-160 confirmation page, including the bar code confirmation number. The DS-160 confirmation number will need to be entered into the appointment system to complete the scheduling of the visa application interview.
